STRAWBERRY MOON BLOOMS U-PICK FIELD EXPERIENCE
HOW it works:
Never been to a pick-your-own farm before? No Problem! See the Frequently Asked Questions below for an easy and fun visit:
-
You’ve purchased a parking admssion ticket! Great! This ensures you may attend the pick.
You’ll choose your picking container size at the check-in tent upon arrival: Standard Container $25, Large Container $45. You may only pick in our u-pick vessels, but you are welcome to transfer your beautiful flowers to another container once you return to your vehicle.
You’ll park following the signs, check in, and enjoy a super-fun picking experience during your picking window. In the warm sunshine, our picking windows are quite generous, so you never feel rushed.
Shears/Pruners/Snippers are available at check-in to borrow, but you may bring your own if desired. Must be standard snippers or scissors; no hand saws or power tools, please.
The farm stand parking area will be closed during u-picks and only open during farm stand hours. This will help ensure plenty of parking and that foot traffic is kept away from any vehicle traffic.
-
U-Pick events are scheduled for certain dates during the growing season, May-October. Tickets should be purchased in advance and can only be purchased from our website.
That’s different from last year, why the change?
We’re growing! Pun definitely intended. Reserving your picking time ensures that you have the best experience possible. You are guaranteed parking, plentiful blooms to choose from and a tranquil flower picking experience. Picking windows are currently set to two hour increments to add a little space between when cars come and go, so no one ever feels rushed.
-
Plan for warm weather (sunscreen, bugspray, hat, comfy shoes). Check your weather app and email before you come though, because if we get a bad storm we’ll reschedule the pick for another day.
We provide both the picking container and the biodegradable take-home cup. You are welcome to bring your own container to transfer your blooms to once you get back to your vehicle. Our picking containers are super neat in that they are less likely to tip when you set them on the ground to cut stems.
We have cutting shears for you to borrow at check-in, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have a favorite pair. We are not responsible for any personal items left behind in the field.
-
Yes! But only if you carpool. Your parking admission ticket purchase covers only one vehicle. They can ride with you and purchase a container at check-in. We are a small farm and parking spaces are limited, but this certainly makes for a wonderfully peaceful experience. We love this little farm!
-
Nope.
-
With the change to parking, accessibility is decreased. There are no paved or level pathways on the farm. There are many, many places that are sloped, have steps, or are rough terrain.
-
We now have a port-o-potty, switched out regularly, for all u-pick events.
